SCV Camp 1441 has a wide range of activities for our members that includes: Preservation work, marking Confederate soldier's graves, historical re-enactments, regular meetings to discuss the military and political history of the War Between the States, educational presentations in the Midland/Odessa area and our annual Southern Heritage Gala.

Camp1441 would be honored to present educational demonstrations and talks to your school or organization. These presentations include: members in period dress (military and civilian), weapons demonstrations, talks on the life of soldiers and civilians as well as political and military figures/strategies/battles etc.

Camp 1441 meets the third Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm in the Outback building (west of the Church) at Fairmont Park Church of Christ in Midland, Tx. at 3813 N. Midland Dr. We would greatly welcome your visit.

Our next meeting will be 6/15/2010. It will be held at 3901 Lehigh Dr. Midland Tx. Please join us for a discussion of the major reasons the South lost the WBTS.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans is a genealogical-historical organization dedicated to preserving the history and honoring the memory of our Confederate ancestors. The SCV is the direct heir of the United Confederate Veterans, and the oldest hereditary organization for male descendants of Confederate soldiers. Organized at Richmond, Virginia, in 1896, the SCV continues to serve as a historical, patriotic, and non-political organization dedicated to insuring that a true history of the 1861-65 period is preserved.
