ATTENTION-New meeting location, Kimble County Historical Museum. The Frontier Guards Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans would like to welcome you to our website. We would also like to invite you to join us for our monthly meetings and other educational and historical preservation activities. We meet the second Saturday of each month at the Kimble County Historical Museum at 10:00 am. The museum is located at 101 North 4th Street, the corner of 4th and College.
The members of the Frontier Guards take great pride in our work with schools and other educational organizations not only in Texas but through out the South and even venturing into the North. We have a long standing tradition of recognizing our ancestors by organizing and participating in grave marker dedications in our area. We have an active Confederate Rose Chapter and work closely with them and other historical organizations in our area. We participate in Community activities and always strive to promote the SCV Cause.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans is a genealogical-historical organization dedicated to preserving the history and honoring the memory of our Confederate ancestors. The SCV is the direct heir of the United Confederate Veterans, and the oldest hereditary organization for male descendants of Confederate soldiers. Organized at Richmond, Virginia, in 1896, the SCV continues to serve as a historical, patriotic, and non-political organization dedicated to insuring that a true history of the 1861-65 period is preserved.
