Hill Country Camp #1938

Welcome to the Hill Country Camp, which commands the area of Fredericksburg, Kerrville, Ingram, Hunt, Boerne, Bandera, Medina and Leakey. We meet each third Thursday of the month at Billy Gene's Resturant at 1489 Junction Hwy (State Hwy 27) west of downtown Kerrville. Dinner starts at 6:00 p.m. and the meeting will continue until food is served. After the meal we will complete the program. The meeting usually concludes at 7:30. Wives and guests are invited and period clothes and uniforms are welcome. Visitors, especially prospective new members, are welcome and will pay their own way, but will have a grand time listening to our members, speakers and honored guests.

The Sons of Confederate Veterans is a genealogical-historical organization dedicated to preserving the history and honoring the memory of our Confederate ancestors. The SCV is the direct heir of the United Confederate Veterans, and the oldest hereditary organization for male descendants of Confederate soldiers. Organized at Richmond, Virginia, in 1896, the SCV continues to serve as a historical, patriotic, and non-political organization dedicated to insuring that a true history of the 1861-65 period is preserved.
